[The end of the latest spell seems to have flushed a few people out of the woodwork.

Kai is in a room that appears to be a large greenhouse. It's mostly empty of plants, which would explain why he's hauling a bag of soil to the far end where several packets of seeds and a few baby potted plants are seated, dressed in worn jeans and a faded t-shirt that is slightly too small for him, probably something he picked out a few years ago and never threw out.

Axel (

conflagrate) is blowing bubbles in one of the main rooms. She hasn't been around at all in the last few months, but it doesn't look like she's been upgraded back into a Lea. Each of the bubbles has smoke in them, and popping them will release the smell of wood burning!

There's a kid of about nine in one of the kitchens, which appears to be full of highly venomous snakes. Oops.

A Naminé is seated on the edge of a fountain, dressed in her normal little dress despite the lingering chill of winter. There's a flush to her cheeks from the cold, but she doesn't seem too bothered as she trails her fingers through the water.

Lastly, that one girl Sora with the broken keyblade is making an appearance again, too. She's stretched out on the floor of a little den-like room with a fireplace, and she's got a pile of... drawings? She's no artist, but she's carefully adding lines to what appears to be a boat design!]

Well, whatever. Not like I haven't been bitten by worse.

[She eyes the snakes for a moment, then takes a few careful steps inside. If she gets bitten she is going to be so pissed off.]

That one paralyzes its victims and then burrows into the chest cavity to lay its eggs.

[He points, still not looking her way; there's a vibrant orange snake with a stubby nose and black eyes watching her from the table.]

[She looks at him, then follows where he's pointing to look at the snake.]

So why are they loose?

[He gets the snake down and it curls around his neck in a decidedly unfriendly way as he climbs off the chair, leaving him to finally look at her like she's a moron.]

How should I know? I didn't put them here.

[She freezes, eyes darting back to him. He doesn't know her, does he?]

Then what are you doing here?

Finders keepers, duh.

[Massive eyeroll. And no, he doesn't seem to recognize her. The snake he brought down from the fridge is now completely hidden by his scarf, and he's going after a cobra chilling on the floor now.]

[Fantastic. Her day just got even better. She puts a hand over her face, then scowls at the snake on the table.]

Then you need to clean these up before someone actually gets killed.

[He scoffs, expertly dodging a lunge from the cobra and bapping it on the nose before he scoops it up.]

If someone's dumb enough to get bit when they're in plain sight, that's their fault.

You want them, right? Then move them before someone else takes care of them.

[There's a very obvious threat there. Not to him, but she'll kill all of these snakes if she has to. She doesn't want to, but she doesn't want someone like lil' Kairi wandering in and getting bitten because she panicked.]

[He just sticks his tongue out at her and climbs onto the counter to check in the cabinets.

The two snakes on him both turn to stare at her over his shoulders- oh, they're sticking their tongues out too.

Cute.]

[Her eyebrows shoot up at that, and - he's probably not expecting this one - she starts laughing. It is cute.]

[He turns around so fast he nearly falls off the counter, staring at her incredulously as a third snake pours off a shelf and over his arm.]

What?

[She steps forward automatically, holding an arm out as if to catch him.]

Nothing. Be careful.

[The third snake has a rattle at the end of its tail! Little Red scowls and hops off the counter now that he's acquired that snake.]

Why were you laughing at me?

I wasn't.

[She shrugs. Don't make her set you on fire, snake.]

I was laughing because it looked like your snakes were mimicking you.

That's dumb.

[Wow, he's so nice. And scooping that table snake into his arms. He's covered in snakes now, what the heck.]

It was cute.

[Sorry, Red. Riku is just in the mood today to be a jerk. Man does she even have a clear path to the pantry? Probably not.]

[VICIOUS NINE YEAR OLD SCOWLING. There's a clear path if she's careful, though.]

[One wrong move from them and she will burn this whole place down. Before dying, probably. She takes a subtle breath and then heads for the pantry. She's not afraid of snakes, just cautious around dangerous things.]

[After one last glower at Riku, Red goes back to collecting the snakes. They wind around his arms, neck, and torso, occasionally nipping at each other over 'territory'. Maybe he's a snake charmer, considering not a one goes to bite him, despite him saying they weren't his.]

[It's pretty impressive the way he works with them, but she's not really surprised. Only because she already knows who he is, though. She opens the door carefully, just in case something's inside.]

[SNAKE ATTACK except it's just a tiny thing that is pretty easy to identify as some sort of garden snake. It just kind of flops over her arm and then slides to the floor to disappear under something.]

[Shriek. Okay no, but she freezes all over anyway, because it was still a snake, and she's almost tempted to step on it before she disappears. God.]

Do you want help with all these?

[He looks kind of disbelieving.]

Why would you want to help?

Why not? There's dozens of them. I can at least find you something to carry them in.

[A sauce pan, maybe.]
