IT'S A TRAP!!

[There's a strangled yelp and the sound of someone struggling coming from the other side of this cracked door. Littlexas has managed to walk right into a trap within the jungle room, now hanging upside down by his ankle. He stops his flailing for a moment to glare at his older self as he just stands there and laughs.]

Aren't you going to help me?!

You got yourself into it, you can get yourself out.

[Littlexas just huffs and flails more, resulting in his body swinging around and spinning in circles... This might take a while.]

[He turns back to Littlexas, eyes wide.]

How the hell did you use lightning?! I can't even do that right yet!

[Littlexas just shrugs, followed by an "I'unno"]

Or maybe he's learning in a different way than you did.

How can he be learning differently when I'm the one teaching him?

[Littlexas is sitting upright at this point, staring down his hand like he's never seen it before.]

[He's sort of surprised too, expecting Roxas to have the answers and all.]

[Roxas looks at him when he speaks up.]

Maybe that's what that was...

When that Larxene kept shocking me, my powers started blocking lightning from hurting me too much. And I've felt kinda weird ever since... maybe it's my lightning! Like it was fighting hers!

...Or maybe it's some of her residual lightning left over. Maybe you absorbed some of that.

I've absorbed electricity before, so that's likely. I think I know a good way to test this.

[He helps littlexas up and heads for the door.]

Come on, mr. scientific method, we've got some experimentation to do.

[Rolls his eyes and follows.]

Well, I can't get shocked by static electricity. I can rub a balloon in my hair and it doesn't do anything. So, I want to see if it'll work for him.

Probably won't, if it doesn't work for you.

That's the idea.

So you've established a theory and are now testing your hypothesis. You're on your way to being a scientist already.

[We are. HEY LOOK A GIANT ROOM FULL OF BALLOONS.

... yeah, Roxas likes to go above and beyond.]

Okay, so you just have to go rub a balloon against your head and see what happens.

[Very scientific. Again, Riku's just watching from the sidelines for now.]

[Littlexas nods and runs into the room to grab a balloon. And rubrubrubs it against his spikes.]

[Suddenly, sparks fly in between the balloon and his hair, rapidly growing in size and jolting out to hit and pop other balloons around them.]

What the--?!

[It startles the kid bad enuogh that he backs up into a ~~rather large~~ freaking HUGE balloon, causing massive amounts of sparks to start flying everywhere.]

UH-OH!

Maybe this wasn't one of your brighter ideas.

[He can feel the static electricity in the air, and this certainly can't go anywhere good.]

I didn't think that would happen! ... Roxas!

[Roxas runs and grabs littlexas, dragging him away from any other balloons. He tries to control the static flying around, but he can't seem to get it. Instead, one of the larger balloons floats up to the ceiling and pops, the blast shattering the glass and sending it down towards them.]

Get down!

[Aren't you two lucky you've got an umbrella again the rain of broken glass? It happens to be a very Riku-shaped umbrella though.]
